the maid quits
friday started out great with a trip to the gym, then the grocery store to prep the cupboards for the flood. After coming home and unpacking it all, making a great dinner and cleaning the house for a nice weekend at home with chris's days off, all hell breaks loose at 4:30. By this time I am just exhausted, a little from overdoing it at the gym and having braxton hicks all day. The kids and i were starving after smelling it for an hour and dediced to eat early cause it smelled so good. I asked for a little help after dinner and got complaints all the way around. I up and quit being the mom, caretaker, chef and the maid. needless to say I am a little embarressed at the state of our home and had to cancel the service tech for the internet today. I really thought after 1 day they would pull it together, but as of yesterday and this morning it is just adding up. I doubled my meds to keep from just getting up and doing it and trying to find something to do today. I wish all I did all day was watch tv and eat snacks(okay so it would drive me crazy as I don't watch tv and it drives me crazy that they can sit for days watching it) is it too much to ask to put things away when done, close cupboards after opening and throw away your own garbage? so here goes some pictures...

I think all of us moms have moments like this. And we realize how messy out counterparts can be! I am glad to know I am not the only one!! Take it easy!! Love ya H
That's not too bad of a mess :-)
What's going to suck is if you give in and end up cleaning it anyway-I would have the kept the kids home from school until it was clean-just to make my point!
yeah it would problably take 1 hour if everyone pitched in. I just can't believe how much just garbage dishes there is in 2 days. It is the pricipal of the matter that I don't do nothing all day.....
I hope that you didn't clean it. I would make a list who does what and let Chris know that you EXPECT him to get it cleaned. Whether he does it himself of has the kids do it. Then you relax and read a book while it gets accomplished. This has worked for me.
Wow, good luck hopefully they will get the point and help out.
I have so been there hon...Don't give in...Good luck and I can't wait to see an update post!!
All, I manage a multi..multi... million dollar store that takes usually 55-65 hours a week, when I'm not there I am working on our basement remodel. I have 250 productive employees at my store who work hard everyday, I don't see that work ethic very often in my own house. Nanette, I invite you to come over and make me a list to stick to, your vast knowledge of management would be very helpful in our house. If anyone has any questions or other helpfull advise you can call me, I'll be at work making a living.
Christopher
