One thing i like about the winters here are the sun dogs(at least that is what we call them) that you can see almost any time on a clear day. Taken this morning after the kids left for school. The temp is exactly zero. feels like -14 with wind chill. Cant wait to see what the weather brings for thursday

catch-up

We went to minot on our way to bismarck in oct and stopped to see family. Emily loves dogs...she kisses harley with no fear on the mouth...yuck!(on a sad note, harley passed away this week) Soccer lasted in october this year and Michael had a blast.
Ashley turned 18 this year...can't believe it. She had a mystery dinner party with her friends a couple days after her birthday.
the crime scene where Mrs. S was poisened. Who did it?
Michael went as the Mad Hatter to the party and decided that would be his costume for halloween as well. Ashley was Anastasia.
With such nice weather this fall the kids were able to playoutside almost to halloween. The frogs were still out as well.
Ashley's birthday cake on her birthday. She chose I-Hop as her place of choice...so off we went.
The boys gave her a massive bottle of shampoo(as they are always using hers) and a UND sweatshirt. She wasn't sure of her last gift until she realized what it was. The Kindle. She downloaded 41 books that night. She now never leaves with out.
Halloween came and went on sunday, so on monday she got in her costume and had a blast. What a cute monster.....
okay so this one is slightly staged with our neighbors across the street.

Emily slept through the carving but sure enjoyed them when she woke up. Had some friends over for some hallowwen fun on friday and we let jonny try bobbing for apples. To scared. next year.
We got some great halloween packages this year. We had the kids wait till oct. 29 to open them. Emily loved the candy necklace. Thanks Gma and Gpa and Mike and Jen for the great fun.
